Goodbye, Stamford Bridge? Chelsea in talks to build new stadium
Chelsea have been in talks to leave Stamford Bridge and build a new stadium at Earls Court. According to The Guardian , increasing the capacity to 42,000 spectators is a top priority for the Blues and the difficulty in redeveloping Stamford Bridge has led the club to look for a new venue in west London.

According to the same source, the Londoners, where Renato Veiga , Pedro Neto and João Félix play , have opened talks with Transport for London (TfL), one of the partners that looks after the Earls Court site. The Earl’s Court Development Committee (ECDC) does not have any plans to build a stadium on the site, as it would be an obstacle in Chelsea ‘s way .

The Blues , it should be noted, have not ruled out staying put, but there has been no progress on the plan to rebuild Stamford Bridge. Another potential obstacle is the civil war between the owners. Clearlake Capital, the majority shareholder, and Todd Boehly have fallen out and are seeking a solution.
