Haaland’s Norway draws with Kazakhstan in the Nations League
Teams played a goalless match in the first round of the European competition
Norway drew with Kazakhstan on Friday in the first round of Group B3 of the Nations League . Despite star player Erling Haaland being on the pitch, the teams failed to find the net and the draw ended 0-0 at the Central Stadium in Almaty.
The match was dominated by Norway in terms of possession, but the attacking performance was low on both sides. There was only one shot on target, from Norwegian Egeli.
The two teams had not played since the friendlies in May and June this year, in preparation for Euro 2024. Norway and Kazakhstan failed to qualify for the tournament, which was won by Spain.
The teams are part of Group B3, alongside Austria and Slovenia, who face each other this Friday at 3:45 pm (Brasília time).
In the next round of the Nations League, both teams have games on Monday at 3:45 pm (Brasília time). Kazakhstan faces Slovenia away from home, while Norway hosts Austria.
