It took a while, but AC Milan’s first victory in Serie A was caught

Four games later, Milan , coached by Paulo Fonseca, finally managed to secure their first win in this season’s Serie A. And it was, as they say, a no-brainer. The Rossoneri hosted and thrashed newly promoted Venezia 4-0 in a match for matchday 4.

Rafael Leão started for the home team and ended up living up to the vote of confidence. The Portuguese international helped open the scoring with a great backheel assist for Theo Hernández , who scored in the 2nd minute, with some help from the opposing goalkeeper.

With the game under control, it didn’t take long for Milan to extend their lead: in the 16th minute, following a corner, Pulisic found Fofana who headed the ball to make it 2-0.

Pulisic himself would go on to write his name on the scoresheet when, in the 25th minute, he accurately converted a penalty kick. Even before half-time, Milan completed the rout. Again from the penalty spot, this time converted by Tammy Abraham (29′), confirming a completely overwhelming first half for Milan .

In the second half, the Rossoneri simply managed the result. To help matters out, Caviglia received his second yellow card in the 73rd minute, leaving Venezia down to 10 men for the rest of the match.
