João Neves nominated for Kopa Trophy
Yamal Lamal is the big favorite to win the award for best under-21 player of the season
João Neves is among the 10 finalists nominated for the Kopa Trophy, by ‘France Football’, which recognizes the best under-21 footballer in Europe each season. The good season he had at Benfica , in addition to earning him a transfer to PSG , places him among some of the greatest stars of today.
The favourite will naturally be Lamine Yamal , who was instrumental in Spain’s European Championship triumph, with Jude Bellingham winning last season . Before the Real Madrid player, Gavi (2022), Pedri (2021), de Ligt (2019) and Mbappé (2018) won .
In 2019 there was no winner due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
