Jonathan Tah could leave Bayer Leverkusen for free in 2025

Bayer Leverkusen faced one of the biggest soap operas of this transfer window, with Jonathan Tah becoming a target for big clubs in European football.
With the closing of the registration period for new reinforcements, Tah was not negotiated with any team and will remain at the club led by Xabi Alonso.
Amid strong interest from Bayern Munich, the defender and his representatives were not happy with his stay . This dissatisfaction could lead to the player leaving the club for free at the end of his contract , which ends in June 2025.
Jonathan Tah will not renew
In an interview published by journalist Florian Plettenberg , the athlete’s agent, Max Bielefeld, was categorical in stating that, at the moment, there are no plans for a contract renewal. With the contract ending , Tah will be able to sign a free pre-contract with any team from January.
“It has been communicated clearly and openly that Jonathan does not currently wish to extend his contract, meaning he would leave the club on a free transfer next summer ,” the agent revealed.

Max also reinforced that the player’s desire was to leave the club in this transfer window. ” We would have liked to have made a change this summer” , he concluded, expressing his dissatisfaction with the situation.
