Influential Spanish midfielder out of action this season

Manchester City had confirmation this Friday that they will not have Rodri available until the end of the season, but the club already has a player in mind to fill the Spaniard’s prolonged absence.

This is Samuele Ricci , a 23-year-old midfielder from Torino , who has been one of the stars of the team that currently leads Serie A in isolation, after five rounds.

The information was released by The Guardian, which highlights the player’s versatility and also the attractive price for a club like City – the same publication reports that a transfer could be made for a value of around 36 million euros.

Ricci was trained at Empoli and arrived at Torino in January 2022. Since then he has made 84 appearances for the club, where he has been a regular starter since the 2022/23 season. He has already been capped four times by Italy and recently caught the eye in the Italian side’s victory away to France (1-3) in the Nations League , a match in which he played the full 90 minutes.
