Schalke 04 suffer comeback at home after leading 3-0

German historic side Schalke 04 have suffered an epic comeback at home after leading 3-0.
In a game counting towards the sixth round of the Bundesliga, the Gelsenkirchen team hosted Darmstadt and were winning 3-0 at 39′, with goals from Mohr, with a Panenka free-kick (14′), Sylla (34′) and Schallenberg (39′). Through a penalty, Hornby reduced the deficit for the visitors, at 45+5′.
The second half began and the tension and some anxiety of the Schalke 04 fans in the stands already predicted what was about to happen. Lidberg appeared and scored a hat-trick (56′, 76′ and 87′), completing an epic comeback for Darmstadt , without any reaction from the home team.
In the final minutes, Schalke 04 still tried to make up for lost time, but ended up conceding another goal. Sergio López, in the 90+7′ minute, made it 5-3.
Darmstadt , who secured their first win in the Bundesliga 2, have five points in 13th place. Schalke 04, who only won in the first round, are 14th with four points.
