Atlético de Madrid identifies two more fans who threw objects at Courtois
The two men in question will, like the first fan who was identified, be expelled from the club as members.
According to MARCA, Atlético de Madrid , in collaboration with the police, continue to work to identify and expel from the club’s membership all those responsible for the incidents during the derby against Real Madrid , last Sunday.
In this way, two more people were identified. The men are two of the fans who, during the broadcast of the match, appeared hooded while Koke and Giménez approached to ask the fans to calm down. According to MARCA, one of them also threw objects in the direction of Courtois .
Atlético de Madrid released a statement confirming the identification of the two fans: “The identification of those involved in the incidents of last Sunday’s derby, which our security department is carrying out in collaboration with the police, has allowed us to locate two more people who took part in the clashes. Both are club members and will be banned permanently, as was the case with the person who was identified on the night of the game.”
“The investigation to identify more people involved is ongoing and the club will proceed with the definitive expulsion of all members who took part in these incidents. Atlético de Madrid reiterates its condemnation of these unjustifiable acts, which have seriously damaged the image of the club, and reaffirms its zero tolerance policy against violence, which is why it will continue to pursue any manifestation of this nature and apply the sanctions provided for in our internal regulations to those involved,” concluded the club.
