Atlético Madrid learns of punishment after incidents at the Metropolitano
RFEF announced that the stadium will be “partially closed” for three games and that the ‘colchoneros’ still have to pay a fine
Atlético Madrid were already punished this Wednesday after the incidents at the Metropolitano, where objects were thrown onto the pitch, including a bag of dog waste at Courtois .
The RFEF has announced that its stadium will be partially closed for the next three matches, namely Leganes and Las Palmas for La Liga , on October 20 and November 3, respectively, and Lille for the Champions League , on October 23. In addition, the Colchoneros still have to pay a fine of 45 thousand euros.
«To impose on Atlético de Madrid a sanction of partial closure of its sports facilities for a period of THREE MATCHES and a financial penalty of 45,000 euros, for committing the very serious infringements defined in Article 76.2, in accordance with Article 15 of the RFEF Disciplinary Code. The partial closure will affect sectors 127, 128, 129, 130, 131, 132 and 133, which make up the lower southern end, referred to in the referee’s report, and will be carried out in accordance with the terms set out in Article 57.1 of the RFEF Disciplinary Code», can be read in the report published by the Competition Committee.
