Barcelona and Nike reach agreement worth 140 million euros per year
10-year deal to bring in over a billion euros for Blaugrana coffers
After much speculation and doubt about what brand Barcelona ‘s kits would be from next season onwards, the answer is close to being… the same. Nike, which has sponsored the Catalan club since 1998/1999, has reached an agreement with the Blaugrana to maintain the partnership until at least 2034/35.
According to the Spanish press, this deal will be anything but cheap. The club and the sports brand have reportedly reached an agreement for Barcelona to receive 140 million euros per year during the contract. All in all, this will amount to 1.4 billion euros. To give you an idea, this is 300 million more than what Real Madrid agreed with Adidas in 2019 or Manchester United with the same brand in 2023, in a partnership valid for the same period of time.
It should be remembered that the contract between the Spanish club and Nike ends at the end of this season and, at a time when the Blaugrana still need to balance their accounts, the club has even considered manufacturing and distributing its own kits, without any brand.
