Former striker Cuauhtémoc Blanco, considered one of the greatest players in Mexican history, has been accused of attempted rape against his sister. The complaint was filed a week ago, according to the newspaper “El Financiero”.
Blanco, who is currently a federal deputy in Mexico, was also governor of the state of Morelos between 2018 and 2024.
According to the complaint, the victim is Blanca Fabiola N, Blanco’s half-sister, who was Secretary of Economic Development and Labor in Morelos during the former striker’s government.
According to the report, Blanco attempted to rape Fabiola inside the Morelos Official Residence and threatened to remove her from office. Blanco used the location for work meetings and lunches with employees and guests.
Blanco played in three World Cups with Mexico (1998, 2002 and 2010). He is the third highest scorer in the history of the national team, with 38 goals.
