Pep Guardiola spoke about Rodri winning the Ballon d’Or . The Manchester City coach argued that Xavi and Iniesta also deserved to have won the award and ended up remembering Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi .
“Nobody can beat Messi . Only Cristiano . Cristiano was a monster and the father of the monster was Messi. They both did something incredible in the last 15/20 years. And maybe at that moment Xavi and Iniesta also deserved to have won [the Ballon d’Or],” he began by saying.
“ Yesterday [Monday] Rodri received what Spanish football deserved worldwide,” he added.
