Luis Enrique’s ‘tough hand’: «I want to control all my players»

The PSG coach’s words were said at the end of last season, but were released this Monday in a series about what goes on behind the scenes at the club

PSG coach Luis Enrique wants to control every movement of his players… on the pitch.

“Next year, I want to control all the players. All of them, without exception.” These words were released this Monday, in the 3rd and final episode of a Movistar+ series about behind the scenes at PSG , and were uttered at the end of last season.

At the time, the Spanish coach once again showed himself to be very rigid with his respective game ideas and explained: «If a player goes where he wants, that implies that there are game situations that I cannot control.»

In the same episode, Luis Enrique was also asked whether he considers he is doing a good job at PSG . “Am I satisfied with my work? Yes. Could I have done better? Yes, that is clear. Do I think we will improve? Yes, without a doubt,” he said.
