Summary

Midfielder Casemiro scored his first goal for Manchester United in the 2024/2025 season. However, the ball was of little use in the net. Away from home, the Brazilian’s team lost 2-1 to West Ham. Summerville and Bowen, from a penalty after a foul awarded after VAR, scored for the hosts.

Manchester United falls down the table

With the result at the London Stadium, both teams remain in the second half of the table. West Ham, with 11 points, jumped to 13th place, overtaking Manchester United, who have 11 points and are one place below due to tiebreaker criteria. The team led by Dutch coach Erik Ten Hag (who is currently in a tenure) will return to action next Wednesday when they face Leicester in the English League Cup. West Ham, in turn, will only return to action next Saturday when they face Forest in the Premier League

Paquetá is carded and replaced

Two Brazilians started the match: midfielder Casemiro played the full 90 minutes, almost scored a header for Manchester United in the first half and scored a goal in the second half. Lucas Paquetá, on the other hand, had a poor performance, received a yellow card and almost got sent off at the end of the first half. The former Flamengo player was substituted at half-time.
