Diego Maradona Jr., son of the Argentine legend, will train in Spain. The Italian-Argentine will join the coaching staff of UD Ibarra, a club from Tenerife, which plays in the fifth division.

Diego joins UD Ibarra with experience of having coached several Italian clubs. Since he began his coaching career in July 2021, he has worked at Napoli United, Pompei and Montecalco.

His football career was (very) far from being like his father’s. Before hanging up his boots in July 2020, he played 16 seasons in the lower divisions of Italy, but never played at a professional level.
