Without their captain, the Dutch team went all out and, in the 37th minute, after a free kick, Dumfries appeared in the middle of the Hungarian defense to head the ball in and level the score. 1-1.

CAPTAIN EXPELLED

Defender Van Dijk was sent off for a second yellow card after a foul on Csoboth. The Dutch player had been booked a few seconds earlier for protesting. As a result, Van Dijk will miss the Netherlands’ next match against Germany on October 14.
