Paulo Fonseca’s Milan breaks negative record in Serie A
‘Rossoneri’ record worst points average in the last 10 years
Milan are still far from being the well-oiled machine that Paulo Fonseca envisioned when he arrived at the club this summer. The Rossoneri ‘s run in this season has been full of ups and downs, resulting in a poor record.
According to Sky Sport, Paulo Fonseca’s team arrived at the first stop of the championship with the lowest points average in the last 10 years.
Milan ‘s management is convinced that the Portuguese coach’s work will soon bear fruit. However, the Rossoneri’s false start has not made their job any easier. After 9 games played in the cup and league, Milan have only won three. They have also lost four and drawn two.
Not even Marco Giampaolo, who played just seven games in charge of Milan in 2019, has averaged as low a points tally as Paulo Fonseca. Still, despite the poor start, Milan sit in 6th place, 5 points behind leaders Napoli , so there is still room for Paulo Fonseca’s men to make up ground.
The return from the international break will be decisive, with the Rossoneri facing Udinese , Brugge ( Champions League ) and Bologna , before hosting Napoli .
