Pedro Neto among the fastest players in the Premier League

List is topped by… a Tottenham defender

Pedro Neto has been included in a list compiled by Sky Sports of the fastest players in the Premier League this season. The Chelsea forward has already reached a running speed of 35.4 km/h, which earns him a place in 8th place on the list.

The fastest player in the English league so far is Micky van de Ven , a Tottenham defender who has already reached 37.12 km/h in a sprint. Anthony Elanga (35.90 km/h) and Erling Haaland (35.74 km/h) complete the podium.

However, there is one metric that Pedro Neto leads. Sky Sports reports that, since the 2022/23 season, no one has covered more distance with the ball before making an assist than the Portuguese. While still at Wolverhampton , the forward covered 72 metres before setting up João Gomes , in a game against Tottenham in February this year.
