Three goals, a great performance and a standing ovation at the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium. This Wednesday night was a night that went down in history for Raphinha, who was the star of Barcelona’s 4-1 win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League. After the match, the Brazilian spoke about his great performance in his 100th official match wearing the Barça shirt.

– It’s hard to explain in words the feelings I’m feeling right now. No matter how hard I try, I won’t be able to. Not even in my wildest dreams did I think I’d complete 100 games with this shirt, in a game like this. If I had planned it, it wouldn’t have turned out the way it did. I’m very excited to complete 100 games the way it was. And I hope to complete another 100 games, the way it’s going – Raphinha told “TNT Sports”.

This was the second time Raphinha has scored three goals in a single game in his career. The other time was also this season, in Barcelona ‘s 7-0 win over Valladolid on August 31. Before that, he had only scored more than once in a Champions League match on one occasion, also this year: in the 5-1 win over PSG last season in April, when he scored twice.

Raphinha has now scored seven goals in his third Champions League season – he has found the net in four of the last five games in the tournament. In total, he has scored 29 goals for Barcelona, where he has also provided 29 assists. When asked which of the three goals was the most special, he answered.

– It’s hard to choose. I’ll go with the third one, which was the hat-trick. The way it was, the sprint, the cross shot. And the celebration with the fans. But all of them were special. Not just the hat-trick, but the game it was, the team it was, and playing against one of the best goalkeepers in the world – he commented.
