SUMMARY

Stuttgart beat Juventus 1-0 away from home in the third round of the Champions League. The visitors were superior throughout the game and even had a goal disallowed by Undav and a penalty missed by Millot, in a foul that led to Danilo’s sending off. The only valid goal scorer was Traoré, in the last minute of normal time. The victory moves Stuttgart up to 16th place, with four points, and drops Juventus to 11th, with six.

DANILO EXPELLED

Juventus captain Danilo was sent off in the second half of the match for his second yellow card in two consecutive incidents. In the 34th minute, the Brazilian lifted Touré in midfield with a hard tackle, which earned him his first card and a foul for the visitors. The set piece was lifted into the six-yard box, and Danilo hit Rouault with his leg. The referee did not initially call the incident, but changed his mind after a VAR review and sent off the number 6. Luckily for Juventus, Perin saved Millot’s penalty.
