Aurélien Tchouaméni has come out in defence of Kylian Mbappé . The striker’s night out in Stockholm, while the French national team played Israel (1-4) on Thursday, provoked widespread criticism in France, with some even questioning the French captain’s commitment to the team that finished runners-up in the World Cup. All this after the striker had played for Real Madrid when he had missed the France squad… due to injury.

“Everyone can think what they want, but we know that every time it’s Kylian [ Mbappé ] it takes on a different dimension. We talk about him afterwards, before the games, so it doesn’t matter where he went after the game, it’s not our problem. Mbappé ’s love for the French national team doesn’t need to be proven. We can’t wait for him to come back,” he said this Sunday, in a press conference ahead of the Nations League match against Belgium .

According to Tchouaméni , Mbappé sent messages to all the players in the national team.
