Tension in the Seville derby

The Seville derbies are known for being very heated on and off the pitch and the last one was no exception. Sevilla beat Betis, with Rui Silva starting, 1-0 and, according to the Spanish press, there were some tense moments.

First with Del Nido Benavente, former president of Sevilla , who accused the club’s workers of protecting the betics. The second case had as protagonists the president of the verdiblancos , Ángel Haro, and Joaquín Caparrós, former coach of Sevilla.

According to COPE Sevilla , José María del Nido Benavente arrived at the Sánchez-Pizjuán and sought out one of two lawyers who work for Sevilla and who the former president of the Andalusian club accuses of being betic. It should be noted that Sevilla’s lawyers annulled the request for precautionary measures submitted by Del Nido Benavente himself in order to be able to vote on the dismissal of the Council.

“I’m going to break your teeth and pull them out one at a time,” said José María del Nido Benavente, according to COPE Sevilla .

According to SER , after the final whistle, Joaquín Caparros, former Sevilla coach , shouted: “Another year like this, another year like this”, provoking the president of the Verdiblancos , Ángel Haro.

On the pitch, Isaac Romero, from Sevilla ‘s youth team , carried an anti-Betis flag. The provocation is causing a stir on social media.
