Valencia asked La Liga to suspend the game against Real Madrid scheduled for Saturday, November 2, at the Mestalla. The club has already been forced to postpone the Copa del Rey game against Parla Escuela, on the outskirts of Madrid, which was scheduled for this Wednesday night, as it was unable to leave the city, and now, faced with the tragedy in the region, with devastating floods resulting from torrential rains, asked for a new postponement.

The Valencian province was hit by the biggest cold drop in recent years, a meteorological phenomenon called DANA (or DINA, in Portuguese, isolated depression at high levels), which caused torrential rains and is now spreading to Andalusia and Catalonia. At least 70 deaths have already been recorded and dozens are missing.

There are dozens of deaths in Paiporta, where a bridge collapsed under the force of the waters:

The newspaper Mundo Deportivo reports that the League may even postpone all games this weekend in the Valencian Community, including Levante-Málaga, scheduled for Monday, November 4th.
