Vinícius Jr. does not win the Ballon d’Or, but has a renewal proposal
Real Madrid has already contacted the player’s representatives at a time when a new Saudi attack is expected
After all the controversy with the Ballon d’Or, Vinícius has another reward in his hands: being able to renew his contract with Real Madrid.
According to the Spanish newspaper Relevo, the Merengues have already contacted representatives of the Brazilian winger, with a view to extending the contractual relationship, despite the situation being at an impasse.
Vinícius Jr. will have heard the proposal and thanked them for their interest, but was in no rush to advance the negotiations, waiting for the best moment to sit down at the table with Real Madrid.
Although it is not an urgent dossier, especially because Vinícius Jr. has a contract until 2027, the team’s biggest concern is the arrival of Saudi Arabia on the scene. Last summer, the Saudis already tried to get the player with a million-dollar proposal for him to be one of the faces of the 2034 World Cup bid, but to no avail. According to the same source, a proposal is expected to arrive again in 2025.
Vinícius Jr, remember, received great affection from teammates and former teammates, in addition to coach Ancelotti, after losing the Ballon d’Or to Rodri, in a ceremony in which he ended up not being present.
The number 7 already has eight goals and five assists in 15 games after being one of the figures in Real Madrid’s Champions League and La Liga wins last season.
