Barcelona clarify Lamine Yamal injury

Right ankle problem will keep winger out for two to three weeks, with him being released from the Spanish national team

Barcelona reported this Monday the content of the physical problem suffered by Lamine Yamal against Red Star , revealing that it was a grade 1 injury to the syndesmosis of his right ankle .

According to the Catalan club, the 17-year-old winger’s problem will keep him out of the competition for a period of between two and three weeks.

After losing Real Sociedad (and Spain ‘s options during this break), the player will be left out against Celta de Vigo and will be at risk for the meetings with Brest and Las Palmas .

The player has since been released from the national team. The Spanish federation announced the cut and the call-up of Bryan Gil, from Girona.
