BAD PHASE IN BARCELONA

Their defeat to Las Palmas on matchday 15 means they have now gone three games without a win, having also lost to Real Sociedad and drawn with Celta Vigo. Saturday’s result further threatens Hansi Flick’s club’s lead , as they are on 34 points, with Real Madrid in second place on 30. The rivals in the race for the top spot still play on Sunday and have a delayed clash due to flooding in Valencia.
HOW WAS THE GAME?
The first half of the game did not show much superiority on either side. Las Palmas started better and threatened Iñaki Peña, but suffered pressure from Barcelona in the final minutes. In the second half, Sandro Ramírez opened the scoring after just three minutes , in a quick run by Las Palmas, from the goalkeeper to the attack. The forward received the ball with a numerical advantage over the defense, entered the area and shot across goal. Raphinha made it all equal in the 16th minute , with an accurate shot from the edge of the area. Barça had a few chances, which were either stopped by the goalkeeper or the crossbar. Las Palmas took the victory with a goal by Fábio Silva in the 21st minute , in another quick run by the defense. This time, Barcelona were in disarray after an attempt on the attack, and Fábio received a ball in the air. He carried it into the area, beat Héctor Fort’s marking and finished in the corner.
