Enzo Maresca was visibly frustrated after Chelsea ‘s defeat at Newcastle ( 0-2), which saw the Blues eliminated from the English League Cup.
One of the players highlighted by the negative in the London team was Enzo Fernández , who regained his starting position after being used as a substitute in the last two rounds of the Premier League , with 90 minutes played against Panathinaikos in between, in the Conference League .
Despite having apparently lost his place in Chelsea ‘s starting XI , Enzo Maresca assures that he has full confidence in the Argentine midfielder’s abilities. «Did I show frustration with Enzo? I show frustration with all players, not just Enzo. I still trust Enzo. There is no single reason in the world to lose confidence in him. The reason he is not playing in the Premier League is because, at the moment, I choose other players. But my confidence is 100% in Enzo», said the Italian.
The Blues coach also mentioned the name of João Félix , when asked about the rotation in attack for the different competitions: «We don’t have an A team and a B team.
