James Rodríguez could leave Rayo Vallecano to join Messi and company at Inter Miami . The hypothesis is being raised in Spain, by Estadio Deportivo , and reinforced by the Colombians of Direct TV .

The Florida club, now managed by Javier Mascherano, intends to strengthen the squad with an eye on the Club World Cup , where Benfica and FC Porto will also participate.

The former FC Porto player returned to Spain in the summer, but his performances have not convinced those in charge at Rayo Vallecano . The situation has fuelled a possible exit and Inter Miami are evaluating the possibility of joining the 33-year-old Colombian international with the likes of Messi , Busquets , Suárez and Jordi Alba .
This season, James Rodríguez has played six games for Rayo Vallecano .
