Inter’s Argentine forward is not among the candidates for FIFA’s best player

Giuseppe Marotta, president of Inter , reacted to the fact that Lautaro Martínez was not among the candidates for the best FIFA player in The Best awards .

“It is surprising and disappointing that Lautaro Martínez is not here after an exceptional season. His extraordinary performances helped lead Inter to a historic milestone and Argentina to victory in the Copa América,” he began by defending, in statements to ANSA.

The manager believes that the forward deserves “more respect and recognition”.
“This exclusion ignores not only his numbers and successes, but also his impact on the decisive games. This is a bad sign, players who stand out in such a significant way should be rewarded. We hope that in the future due recognition will be given to those who, like Lautaro, continue to shine on the pitch,” he added.
