Militão underwent surgery “successfully” and left a message on social media
Former FC Porto player will be out of action for 9 months, until the end of the season
After suffering a total rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during the first half of Real Madrid ‘s 4-0 win over Osasuna , before the new international break, Éder Militão underwent successful surgery this Tuesday.
The Brazilian left a message on social media: “Thank God my surgery was a success. Many thanks to the doctors, Real Madrid , my family and everyone who has supported me in the last few days. The first part is over! Now the journey to return to the pitch begins!” he wrote.
At the beginning of last season, in August 2023, the former FC Porto player suffered a similar injury to his other knee and had to stay away from the pitch for seven months, and this time it is estimated that he will stay for another nine months, meaning he will only return next season.
