Mourinho devastated by rival: “If he doesn’t like it, leave”
Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera has no qualms about responding to the Portuguese’s criticism of Turkish football
Fernando Muslera , 38 years old, at Galatasaray since 2011, raised his voice against José Mourinho, after the Portuguese coach launched several criticisms of Turkish football, more specifically the refereeing and video refereeing.
“Turkish football is seen in Europe, what makes me sad is reading and hearing what some people from other teams say. Mourinho insulted the referees and I felt personally attacked. For the first time in 14 years, I felt the need to speak out, because I have always shown respect for everyone and I have been respected. I have won 17 titles here, no player has won as many, so I think I have helped Turkish football evolve. When I see a coach who arrived four months ago talking so much and criticising so much… If he doesn’t like it, he should go. He says what he wants and no one answers him? It’s time someone said something to him too,” said the veteran Uruguayan goalkeeper and captain of Galatasaray , Fenerbahçe ‘s great rival , in statements to beIN Sports, after the victory (3-2) over Samsunspor.
