HOW WAS THE GAME?
The first half was uneventful for both teams, with only five shots on target. The goalkeepers had little to do, as none of the shots hit the target. Despite the few opportunities, Crystal Palace had a slight advantage. In the second half, Newcastle came back stronger and managed to open the scoring after eight minutes. A free kick was taken in the middle, and the ball reached Grodon on the right side of the area. He crossed the ball into the middle and luckily the ball hit Guéhi and ended up in the back of the net.
Crystal Palace went in search of a result and managed to equalise in injury time. The ball was lifted into the box and full-back Muñoz rose unmarked to level the scores with a header.
