Tottenham and Roma draw in the European League
Roma’s German centre-back made it 2-2 in the 90+1′ minute
In one of the most popular games of this fifth round of the Europa League , Tottenham and Roma drew 1-1, with a goal from Mats Hummels in added time taking the victory away from the Londoners.
The home team started better and captain Son , after five minutes, opened the scoring, converting a penalty.
It took 15 minutes for the Romans to respond, with Ndicka heading in an equaliser after a free-kick from Dybala . Soon after, the Italians found the back of the net again, but El Shaarawy ‘s goal was ruled out for offside (22’).
Before the break, Brennan Johnson put Spurs back in front, finishing off Kulusevski ‘s cross with the best touch .
Everything seemed to indicate that Tottenham would come out on top in this match, but Mats Hummels had other intentions. In the 90+1 minute, he appeared at the far post to deflect a cross-shot from Angelino and seal the final score at 2-2. The German centre-back’s first goal, in his third game in a Giallorossi shirt.
With this draw, Tottenham is left with 10 points, in ninth place, while Roma is 21st, with six points.
