Mourinho responds to Galatasaray president: “I felt sorry…”
Dursun Ozbek made some controversial statements and the Portuguese coach commented on them
Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek has criticised the Turkish FA and promised to “pluck out the eyes of those who covet Galatasaray’s points” because the Istanbul team’s game on Sunday (where they dropped points) was not postponed after playing on Thursday.
These words caught the attention of José Mourinho, Fenerbahçe coach , who commented on the words at the press conference ahead of the derby against Besiktas : «I have to say this about the president who said ‘I’ll rip your eyes out’. You can cry or laugh at this situation. I preferred to laugh. When I saw the reflections in the world press, I was embarrassed by this situation and I felt sorry for him.»
With Galatasaray ‘s draw , Fenerbahçe took advantage to shorten the deficit to their rivals to three points.
