Paulo Fonseca in solidarity initiative: “Asking for help is nothing to be ashamed of”
Milan coach visited the Cesare Beccaria Penitentiary Institute for Minors as part of the solidarity initiatives promoted by the Italian club’s Foundation
AC Milan coach Paulo Fonseca visited the Cesare Beccaria Juvenile Penal Institute on the outskirts of Milan on Tuesday. As part of the solidarity initiatives promoted by the Milan Foundation during the festive period, the Portuguese coach made the visit with the aim of inspiring young people involved in recovery and resocialization programs through sport and dialogue.
After the visit, Paulo Fonseca spoke to the youngsters: “In daily life, as in football, discipline and respect for the rules are fundamental values to achieve the goals we set. It is also very important to be aware that we are never alone and that, in times of need, asking for help is not a reason to be ashamed, but rather a demonstration of great maturity.”
The visit ended with a special moment on the Institute’s five-a-side football pitch. Paulo Fonseca led and participated in a training session with the youngsters.
