Romanian businessman Dan Sucu, owner of Rapid Bucharest , is the new majority shareholder of Genoa , where Vitinha plays , the Italian club announced this Wednesday.
Dan Sucu, 61, who has investments in the automotive, real estate and media sectors, bought 77% of the shares belonging to 777 Partners in exchange for a capital increase.
« Genoa informs that, following the decision to increase its capital in the amount of 45,356,262 euros, of which 5,356,262 euros were free of charge and another 40,000,000 euros were paid on 14 December, the Board of Directors met today and approved the offer presented by the Romanian businessman Dan Șucu», it can be read in a statement.
Genoa are 13th in Serie A with 16 points.
