Real Madrid: one year later, an unexpected return
Vinícius Júnior and David Alaba are recovering faster than expected and could return to competition in the coming weeks
Good news for Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid . Vinícius Júnior and David Alaba returned to training for the Merengues on Friday morning.
Both the Brazilian and the Austrian are recovering from their injuries faster than initially expected and their return to competition could happen later this year.
The winger is struggling with a biceps femoris injury in his left leg and the hope is that he will be fit to play in the Intercontinental Cup final in Qatar on December 18. The centre-back had suffered a setback in his recovery due to a rupture in the anterior cruciate ligament in his left leg on December 17, 2023, and was only expected to return in 2025.
However, everything indicates that the Whites players are close to a full recovery and returning to the Italian coach’s options.
