The January transfer window is about to open and clubs are already setting their goals for this transfer window. In England, Tottenham and Newcastle are looking to strengthen their central defence and have named Abdukodir Khusanov as a target, according to The Telegraph .

The same source reports that the English clubs are willing to pay 30 million euros to secure the signing of the 20-year-old Uzbek player, who plays for Lens in France and is considered one of the biggest promises in Ligue 1 .

A graduate of Bunyodkor in Uzbekistan, Khusanov arrived in Europe in 2022 to represent Energetik-BGU Minsk in Belarus. He spent two years in the eastern country before moving to Lens for 100,000 euros. Last season, he played 15 games for the French team, and this season he has already played 13 matches (10 as a starter). The central defender has also been capped 18 times by the Uzbek national team.
