Tottenham player arrived at the stadium and coach… sent him home
According to Ange Postecoglou, Dominik Solanke «wasn’t looking his best»
The morning before the Tottenham – Fulham game (which ended in a 1-1 draw), Dominic Solanke was present at the Spurs training camp. Despite feeling a bit unwell, the English forward was keen to play, but coach Ange Postecoglou had other ideas.
Upon seeing the player, the Australian coach decided to send him home, hours before kick-off. The Londoners’ leader confirmed the situation at the post-match press conference: “He arrived and he wasn’t looking his best. He was unwell and we sent him home. We hope he makes a full recovery and is ready for the next match.”
Solanke joined Tottenham last summer for €64 million and has scored six goals in 17 games this season.
