Manchester rivals live contrasting periods
The Ruben Amorim era at Manchester United begins at a time when city rivals Manchester City are experiencing a form of financial crisis the likes of which have not been seen in many years.
The Citizens have been superior to their rivals in recent years, but this troubled period, coupled with a Red Devils side on the rise, has resulted in a record not seen in over a decade.
For the first time since the end of the 2012/13 season, United have a better goal difference than City after 10 or more games in a Premier League campaign . At the moment, with 13 games played, the Red Devils have a goals scored/goals conceded ratio of +4, while the Citizens have a goals against ratio of +3.
In terms of points, however, Ruben Amorim’s men still trail their rivals, with four points less.
