Alberto undergoing medical examinations at Juventus
Full-back was Sporting’s target, but Italians were stronger
After flying to Turin on Tuesday night, full-back Alberto Costa is now in the Juventus ‘environment’ , with the club showing him on the way for medical examinations.
Early this morning, the former V. Guimarães player showed up at Jmedical, where reinforcements and players usually undergo medical examinations, and will then head to Continassa to sign a contract with Juventus.
Alberto, who was Sporting ‘s main target to reinforce the right side of the defense, could then work under Thiago Motta to prepare for Saturday’s game against Milan, and will find Portuguese Francisco Conceição in the squad.
The right-back arrives in Italy for 15 million euros. It is the second highest fee in the history of Vitória de Guimarães, after Tapsoba, the central defender who in January 2020 left for Leverkusen for 20.2 million euros.
