Atalanta thrashes Sturm Graz and guarantees qualification in the Champions League
With a 5-0 victory, the Italian team awaits the last round to find out whether it will go straight to the round of 16 or play in the playoffs

Qualified! Atalanta beat Sturm Graz 5-0 on Tuesday and secured their place in the next phase of the Champions League. Retegui, Pasalic, De Ketelaere, Lookman and Brescianini scored the goals for the Italian team, who are still waiting for the last round of the League Phase to find out whether they will go straight to the round of 16 or not.
THE GAME
It was an early stage of Atalanta control. The visitors, Sturm Graz, created little and did not take advantage of the only chance they had. A few minutes later, in the 12th minute, the Austrian defense hesitated and gave the ball to Samardzic. On the left, Zappacosta passed to Retegui who scored the first goal.
Just like in the first half, Atalanta dominated the game. With three goals disallowed, the Italian team scored twice with Pasalic and De Ketelaere, in the 13th and 18th minutes, respectively. In the end, Lookman scored the fourth and Brescianini closed the score with 5-0.
