Bayern Munich thrashes Hoffenheim and increases its lead at the top of the Bundesliga
Bavarians comfortably secure victory in the match that ended the first round of the 2024/25 Bundesliga
Bayern, symbolic champions of the first round of the 2024/25 German Championship, ended the first half of the competition with a 5-0 victory over Hoffenheim, this Wednesday (15). In this way, Bayern reached 42 points, against 38 for second-placed Leverkusen.

This is because the number 9 reached 16 goals and became the sole top scorer in the Bundesliga, now with one more than Omar Marmoush, from Eintracht Frankfurt. In addition, the striker scored 18 goals from penalties in 18 shots with the Bayern jersey.
On the other hand, Hoffenheim is still in crisis and is going through a difficult time. This is because the team has gone nine consecutive games without a win this season, in all competitions. With this result, the team maintained its 14 points and dropped to 16th place, being overtaken by Heidenheim. Thus, Hoffenheim is in the position that takes the team to the relegation playoff of the German Championship.

Bayern dominated the match from the start and were on the verge of victory in the first half. Sané opened the scoring after a loose ball in the box, finishing well after just six minutes.
