CAN 2025: Mozambique in the ‘group of death’
The first phase of the biggest competition for African teams has been drawn
The new edition of the CAN, which will take place in Morocco, will begin next December, and this Monday the group stage was drawn, where the 24 participating teams were divided into six groups.
Thus, the group of death will be F, as it includes the powerful teams of Cameroon and Ivory Coast, as well as Mozambique , led by Geny Catamo , and Gabon.
Angola , coached by Portuguese Pedro Gonçalves, will face Mohamed Salah ‘s Egypt , South Africa and Zimbabwe.
CAN 2025 groups:
Group A: Morocco, Mali, Zambia and Comoros.
Group B: Egypt, South Africa, Angola and Zimbabwe.
Group C: Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda and Tanzania.
Group D: Senegal, Democratic Republic of Congo, Benin, Botswana.
Group E: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan.
Group F: Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Gabon and Mozambique.
CAN 2025 will take place between December 21, 2025 and January 18, 2026.
