Diogo Jota scores with his first touch and explains: “You take the corner”
The Portuguese international came on at the same time as Tsimikas and revealed the conversation with the Greek, before Arne Slot sent them on the pitch

Trailing 0-1 at Nottingham Forest , led by Nuno Espírito Santo, Arne Slot brought on Diogo Jota and Konstantinos Tsimikas for the final half hour of the match.
The two came on in the 66th minute and their first touches of the match were decisive for Liverpool to save a point and draw 1-1. The Greek took the corner for the Portuguese to head in, which revealed the conversation between the two, off the pitch.
“We were watching the Cup goal from a few years ago, when he passed the ball to me and, when we were on the touchline, we said: ‘Let’s recreate the goal now, you take the corner.’ And it was a goal,” he said after the final whistle.
The Reds remain the clear leaders of the Premier League , six points ahead of their opponents on Tuesday, but the striker is calling for calm: “It’s a long way to go in the Premier League. It’s difficult to go to every field. It’s one more point, but we wanted all three.”
