Endrick reveals: “I don’t speak to Ancelotti much, but…”
Brazilian player returned to scoring goals and was key to Real Madrid’s victory over Celta de Vigo
Against Celta Vigo , Endrick returned to the squad, scored again and delighted Real Madrid fans once again , scoring twice in a 5-2 victory. After the match, the Brazilian player expressed his gratitude to Carlo Ancelotti, despite admitting that he does not speak much to the Italian, and highlighted the work he has ahead of him.
«I wasn’t waiting for more minutes. Carlo knows very well what he is doing. He’s not doing what’s best for Endrick , he’s doing what’s best for the team. If the team needs Kylian , Vini and Rodrygo , all three will play. If you need Arda [Guler] , he will be there, and if you need me, I will be there. I’ll be working. That’s all. If you don’t do your job, well, you’re out. That’s what I do in Valdebebas. In training, I don’t need to talk much to Ancelotti, he knows that I work hard, with desire and I will always be like this”, he began by saying.
“I don’t speak to Ancelotti much, but the first time I came to Madrid I spoke to him a lot. He told me that the most important thing for me was to work. He knows that I will always work and I do it every day. I am very grateful to Ancelotti. He is a fantastic person for me. To be here, you have to work hard,” said the Brazilian winger.
Despite everything, the 18-year-old player makes no secret of the fact that he intends to play more minutes: “Of course, it’s difficult to play five or three minutes. I’ve had this mentality since I was at Palmeiras . There were games there where I played two minutes. If I have to play this, I will. What matters is the team. As I said before, the coach doesn’t do what’s best for me, he does what’s best for the team. I’m very happy. Ancelotti trusts me. I just need to keep working.”
In his first season in Madrid, Endrick has not been used much by Ancelotti, playing just 289 minutes. Even so, he has already scored four goals for the European champions.
