Juventus defeats Milan and breaks the sequence of draws in the Italian Championship

Juventus beat Milan 2-0 this Saturday in Turin, in the 21st round of the Italian Championship, with goals from Belgian Samuel Mbangula and American Timothy Weah, both in the second half. Coach Thiago Motta’s team handed Portuguese coach Sergio Conceição his first defeat in charge of Milan, in his fifth game in charge of the Italian red-and-black team.

The victory ended a four-match winless streak for Juventus, who had yet to win in 2025. The Turin team had drawn three games in the Italian Championship and lost to Milan in the Italian Super Cup final.

With Saturday’s result, Juventus moved up to fourth place in the Italian league, with 37 points, one ahead of Lazio, who play away to Verona on Sunday in the second round. Milan are in eighth place, with 31.
