Young talent admits he is close to renewing with Barcelona
Lamine Yamal admitted that he prefers Neymar to Leo Messi , also revealing that the contract renewal with Barcelona is getting closer.
“I was five when I saw Neymar at Santos , but I was already seven when I saw him live, at Barcelona , at Camp Nou. It was incredible to see him. Yes, it’s true that Messi was there and he was also incredible, but he was something completely different. Neymar has always been my idol. He’s a star, a legend,” he confessed, in an interview with CNN Sports Dubai .
The young talent, who won the European Championship with Spain, made it clear that his future lies with the Catalans: “I don’t know when I’ll sign, but I believe it will be soon. Barcelona is the club of my life. I hope to renew my contract and stay for as long as possible. I want to play in La Liga and for Barcelona. Yes, I’m going to renew my contract.”
This season, Lamine Yamal has six goals and 11 assists in 21 games for the Blaugrana .
