Lazio also fires doctor who fitted falconer with penile prosthesis
Club president Claudio Lotito said that Gabriele Antonini underwent the operation “to gain publicity” and regretted the unethical behavior of both.
After the controversy that resulted in the dismissal of Juan Bernabè, Lazio ‘s falconer , who published inappropriate photos and videos on social media after having a penile prosthesis implant, the club also announced the departure of the doctor who operated on him.
The announcement was made by president Claudio Lotito this Monday, stating that it was a situation for Gabriele Antonini to «gain publicity» and assured that he fired him because he caused «damage to the club’s image.»
Lotito also confirmed that the eagle, the mascot and symbol of the Italians, will not fly in the stadium, at least in the near future: «The eagle will not fly anymore, because it was linked to that person. We will work to ensure that it is someone else, also because I invented that story.»
“I preach values, I send the eagle to create enthusiasm and passion in children, and if the person controlling the eagle has this behavior of moral decadence… they have broken the code of ethics provided for in the contract with Lazio and will pay for the damages. Bernabè sought my intervention to correct this situation, but it is incurable. Someone who does something like this is not capable of understanding,” he explained.
