Paredes surprises with post-retirement plans: “I’m going to be Di María’s assistant”

At 30 years old, Leandro Paredes has no doubts about what he wants to do when he hangs up his boots. In a live broadcast on the Coker stream, the Roma midfielder stated that he intends to be… assistant coach to Ángel Di María .
“When I retire, I will be Ángel Di María ‘s assistant coach . He will be the coach, I will be his assistant. I am looking forward to it, I really want it,” said the Argentine international.
Paredes and Di María have never hidden the friendship that links them and the midfielder has even come to Portugal to visit his compatriot, with whom he became world champion in 2022.
